Echoes in Time

Workshops in Early Living Skills

Friends of the Society of Primitive Technology

In this age of ever increasing technology and fast living, the knowledge and skills of the day to day life of our ancestors is being forgotten. As part of a fast-growing desire to preserve these skills, we present Echoes in Time.

The Echoes community gathering at its morning meeting

Echoes is held in July at Willamette Mission State Park just north of Salem, Oregon. The workshop is a collection of classes that teach these early living skills. Participants enjoy 5 days of learning a broad range of skills from the times of our earliest ancestors to the present day. Anyone interested in learning these endangered skills is invited to register. This is an excellent family outing and no previous experience or education is required. We'd love to have you join us!

Next Echoes: July 19-23, 2010

We will be gathering for our eleventh year this summer between the 19th and 23rd of July. If you're interested in attending, read about Echoes and register to join in.
